The report, jointly prepared with the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP), raises concerns with regard to: 1) the right to life and the death penalty; 2) the right to freedom of expression; 3) the rights to liberty and freedom of peaceful assembly; and 4) the right to freedom of association.
The CCPR will review the situation of civil and political rights in Pakistan during its 139th session, from 9 October to 3 November 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland.
